Casing Centralizer Technology

Reimagining well construction through breakthrough centralizer engineering.

Our Story

Why We Started CenterSet

Tristam Horn’s journey through drilling engineering and entrepreneurship has always been driven by the same question: can industry challenges be solved differently? That mindset led him into entrepreneurship, founding DeltaTek and helping transform new ideas into technologies that delivered real impact in the energy industry. Along the way, he developed a strong belief that long-standing industry compromises should always be challenged.

That thinking became the foundation of CenterSet.

CenterSet is developing a unique hydrostatically activated centralizer for demanding well construction applications where existing technologies can introduce complexities, risks, and compromises. Designed to support reliable installation, essential zonal isolation, and long-term well integrity, the technology reflects the company’s commitment to helping operators deliver wells with greater confidence.

Design Principles

Our Design Objectives

01
Reliable Stand-Off
Supporting essential positioning where it matters most, so cement placement, zonal isolation and long-term well integrity aren’t left to chance downhole. Consistent stand-off is maintained even through doglegs and restricted sections, where conventional centralizers often lose contact with the wellbore wall.
02
Reduced Drag
Acknowledging the operational realities of running pipe, especially in close-tolerance, tortuous or extended horizontal sections where excess drag costs time and risk. Running low-profile until activation keeps friction down exactly where it matters most, protecting both casing and budget.
03
Unique Engineering
Focusing on simplicity, robustness and manufacturability, so the design holds up in the field and not just on the bench. Every component is engineered to be repeatable at scale, without relying on exotic materials or processes that complicate manufacture or drive up cost.
04
Adaptive Centralization
Controllable activation pressure and standoff, progressed in stages where needed, with centralization initiated at a chosen point in the well, not left to chance.

Built With Industry Input

Our development programme is informed by extensive engagement with professionals across the well construction sector.

Through ongoing discussions with operators, engineers and industry specialists, we continue to gather insight into the challenges that matter most and the performance criteria that drive adoption.

This approach helps ensure our technology is aligned with real operational needs from day one.

Voices From the Industry

Reliability matters more than innovation.

As with most new technology, the challenge is getting the first run and building confidence.

The value proposition needs to be framed around avoided risk and operational outcome, not simply unit price.
